2020 in Context@Unknown

2020 happened so fast that we were all caught napping.

By the time it dawned on us, we began to ask the questions why, what, when, and how.

It was the year of the coronavirus asterisk.

We could not answer to most of the questions. What was left was for us to pick up the pieces. Look inwards. Introspect.

The pandemic challenged us in so many ways. Everything changed. How we live. How we work. How we spend our time and how we handle information overload.

We cannot change what happened, but the Law of Presence teaches us not to reflect on past failures. We have to learn how to deal with the past by living in the future.

To live in the future, you must self-improve. It is the foundation for leadership, business and personal success.

You had close to one year since the world shut down to self-reflect. How did you view your emotions and your life in its entirety?

You must have learnt something new about life.

We have been left to find the meaning in our suffering. According to Victor Frankl, “we do that by learning from what’s happened — by learning about ourselves and the human condition most of all”.

In these circumstances, let us strive to be better and allow providence do the rest.

These 50 actions recommended by Robin Sharma will help you to start the year at your best:

My thoughts

Change is a constant and we must accept that what happened cannot be undone.

In the words of Marcus Aurelius, “it is no evil for things to undergo change and no good for things to subsist in the consequence of change”.

Take the lessons of what happened in 2020 and use them for your wisdom and spiritual power.

Remain strong and be optimistic.
